Cocktails & Connections 2026

Vegas, you were wonderful.
From September 28-30, Kind Souls Foundation was at Mandalay Bay as the Official Affiliate Charity Partner of National Comp - three days surrounded by the people who sit across the table from injured workers every single day. Claims adjusters, nurse case managers, attorneys, physicians, vendors. The infrastructure of workers' comp.
And the thing we kept hearing at our booth, over and over:
"This is amazing. We didn't know you existed."
Now you do. And we are only getting started.
Cocktails & Connections
We kicked off National Comp on the evening of September 28th with our signature mixer - and the room was packed.
New faces, familiar industry voices, people who had never heard of Kind Souls and people who had been quietly rooting for something exactly like us to exist. The energy in that room was the reason we do this work. Every conversation was a reminder that the workers' comp community wants to do better by the humans behind the claims. They just need the tools and the connections to make it happen.
We left that night with a full card wallet and even fuller hearts.
Our Panel: Kidney Stones and Psych Claims
What Workers' Comp Gets Wrong About Stress
One of the highlights of the conference was our panel session - an honest, no-fluff conversation about the emotional and psychological side of claims that the industry often sidesteps.
KSF's own Andrew Bloom joined Sara Kruser, Dr. Ron Heredia, and Weston Mills for a discussion that pulled no punches. The panel tackled how stress, grief, and psychological injury show up in claims - and why the industry's instinct to separate the "physical" from the "emotional" does a disservice to real people in real pain.
If you were in the room, you know it landed. If you missed it, keep an eye out — this conversation isn't finished.
The Wall of Kindness Silent Auction
Across the conference floor, our Wall of Kindness Auction drew in attendees who browsed, bid, and gave.
Thank you - genuinely - to every donor who contributed an item, every bidder who raised their paddle (metaphorically and otherwise), and every attendee who stopped to look. Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting the people we exist for: injured workers navigating one of the hardest chapters of their lives.
What We Took Home
More than a booth and a mixer. We took home a community.
National Comp showed us that the workers' comp world is full of people who care - professionals who went into this field because they wanted to help, and who are genuinely hungry for resources that work. Kind Souls Foundation is that resource. We're peer support. We're human connection. We're the phone call that happens after everything else has been tried.
If you met us in Vegas and want to stay connected, reach out. If you're a nurse case manager, an adjuster, or a provider who wants to refer a patient — we're ready.
See you at the next one! 🎰
