Why National Comp Matters - and Why We’re Proud to Be Part of It

ree

Every year, thousands of leaders in workers’ compensation gather at National Comp to share insights, shape policy, and set the direction for the industry. It’s not just another conference. It’s where the future of workers’ comp is built.

And this year, Kind Souls Foundation is proud to serve as the official affiliated foundation.

Why does this matter? Because for too long, the conversation has been dominated by numbers: costs, claims, savings, compliance. But behind every statistic is a person. And if we lose sight of that, we risk losing the heart of the work.

At National Comp 2025 in Nashville, we’ll be raising awareness about the missing link in many workers’ comp conversations: emotional support during medical displacement. Studies show that employees who feel socially supported during leave recover faster and are more likely to return to work successfully (Journal of Occupational Rehabilitation, 2021). That support doesn’t happen automatically. It has to be built into the system.

That’s why we’ll be on stage, on the expo floor, and hosting events to make sure compassion is part of the dialogue. To show industry leaders that connection isn’t “nice to have” - it’s essential for recovery, engagement, and long-term outcomes.

National Comp is where decisions get made. By being there, Kind Souls Foundation ensures those decisions include the human side of the story.

Because the industry isn’t just about claims. It’s about people. And people need more than paperwork - they need care.

We’re honored to be part of shaping that conversation. And we can’t wait to see you in Nashville.
